During the week leading up to the 2013 New York International Auto Show, The Driving Life will focus on the big news to expect from automakers, including vehicle launches and model updates.
Kia will make waves at the 2013 New York International Auto Show with the world debut of three models. The redesigned 2014 Soul, the restyled 2014 Optima and the 2014 Forte coupe will be revealed at the Jacob Javits Center as part of the auto show’s press preview days.
The Soul, a five-door hatchback, will be receiving its first styling update since its debut in 2009. Last year, the vehicle was the second-best-selling Kia model. The Korean automaker’s top-selling model, the Optima, was last redesigned in 2010.
The coupe will be the latest expansion of the Forte line. The coupe will most likely be based on the newly redesigned 2014 Forte Sedan, which Kia debuted in November at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. The 2014 Forte five-door hatchback made its debut three months later at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show.
Kia’s press conference at the Jacob Javits Center is scheduled for Wednesday, March 27 at 10:15 a.m., Eastern Standard Time.
