During the week leading up to the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, The Driving Life will focus on the big news to expect from automakers, including vehicle launches and model updates.
Toyota’s “sneak peek” of the new Furia Concept a month ago consisted of one 40-second video featuring limited, two-second, up-close shots of part of a wheel, a door handle, and part of a grille. As preparation for the auto show in Detroit, the teaser provided very little information; no one exactly knows what to expect in a few short weeks when Toyota reveals the all-new Sedan concept.
Reviewers gleaned only a few characteristics from the short video, including the vehicle’s sedan body-style, orange coloring, and funky, car-spec lighting elements on both the front and rear lights.. Carbon fiber accents are also probably included somewhere in the design. Aside from the few specs revealed in that short video glimpse, further concept details are anyone’s best guess.
The short preview, color scheme, and concept name gives indication of a fire theme, leading experts to believe the new Furia will be a new, sporty sedan for the Japanese brand. The Furia Concept is expected to replace the popular Corolla model.
