During the week leading up to the 2013 New York International Auto Show, The Driving Life will focus on the big news to expect from automakers, including vehicle launches and model updates.
The entry-level Mercedes-Benz CLA Class made its debut earlier this year and rolled out its advertising campaign with two star-studded Super Bowl commercials featuring the likes of Kate Upton, Willem Dafoe and Usher. The German automaker is now set to debut the AMG version at the 2013 New York International Auto Show.
While the look of the new CLA 45 AMG wasn’t really going to be a big surprise in New York, pictures of the vehicle were leaked just a week before Mercedes-Benz’s press conference. The AMG will be a four-door coupe and is expected to boast a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 360 horsepower under the hood.
Other expected features on the CLA 45 AMG include seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, a three-stage stability control system and a 0 to 60 time of around 4.6 seconds.
Mercedes-Benz’s press conference at the Jacob Javits center is scheduled on Wednesday, March 27 at 11:15 a.m. Eastern.
